Stumbling Stones

My mother, Shulamit Koren, promised she will never step on a German soil. After the Nazis sent her mother’s family to annihilation from Berlin, she felt only rage and hatred towards Germany, with no place for forgiveness. But a phone call from Monika Falkenhagen from the “stumbling stone” organization (in German: Stolpersteinstein), made her questioning her decision. In the memory of the Lipsky family.
